Rude clueless and don't know how to do their jobs! Would not recommend anyone to go there. The workers aired my tires up way over the psi that they are rated for causing a blowout very soon after
Take your hard earned money somewhere else. I always try to spend local but I will no longer do business here. I called to get a quote on tires and spoke with Mark. After he gave me the price on the tires that I had chosen I kind of gasped over the phone because he was $246 higher than anyone else on the coast. He then proceeds to tell me that these tires are made for a different vehicle than mine after I had already spoke to the tire company representative and made sure they were perfect for my vehicle. He was just trying to sell me a cheaper tire at a higher price instead of the tire I wanted. It didn't end there either every time I spoke to this Mark guy he was trying to up sale me on everything even after stating that I was not interested. This guy definitely does not keep his word either and will not hesitate to lie to you EVEN AFTER YOU CALL HIM ON IT. If this saves even one person from wasting their time and getting treated as badly as I was then it was worth the time to write.
Always reliable and they stand by their work. Mark and his staff are top notch.
I'll preface this review by saying I'm a big supporter of small, local businesses. I have used Smith's before on other cars in the family for a few tire mountings so when I decided to take my car in for a full set mounting, I had zero concerns. Mark and his team were extremely cordial and the prices were very reasonable in the past so I had no worries I would be taken care of.
I bought my tires elsewhere and I had a bad shake afterwards. I took it back to that place and I left with the same shake. I decided to try some place new and so I took it to Smith’s. They got completely rid of my shake and my car drives so smoothly now!Mr. Mark told me he used the newest road force balancer! I’m so glad I took a shot and went somewhere else. I’m very satisfied with the outcome and my pocketbook didn’t take a huge hit either. I would recommend Smith’s anyone and everyone!
My 1 star rating comes with the fact that the crew actually damaged three of my factory wheels mounting my tires despite the "plastic tools and parts" on the mounting machine. Mark's only defense was showing me the tools and the parts, covered in grease, and reassured me that there was "no way our tools caused that" however, the wheels were flawless when they went in. Two of the wheels showed spots that appeared to be a coating defect however, the coating bond was broken somehow during the mounting process, likely when a tool (plastic or not) was dropped against the wheel. The third wheel had a very distinct scratch on the outside that he also refused to believe happened during the mounting process. I might have been more inclined to accept it had Mark not given me the "bullshit" attitude he did and show a little bit of concern that one of his customers was not happy with his shop's work. He basically didn't want to own his shop's responsibility for damaging my wheels. All I was looking for was for him to realize something in his process was going to cause more damage in the future. Either way, I'll never take one of my vehicles back to his shop for any work whatsoever.
